Having one hand is really boring. Luckily they sell paper models at the nightmarket for about 15B each. Making these helps pass the time. Here's a shot of the REAL Paper Mario!

The BBC reports that those mad scientists at CERN have created tiny black holes that could destroy the world!Here is a choice snippet from the article:
"Critics have previously raised concerns that the production of weird hypothetical particles called strangelets in the LHC could trigger the mass conversion of nuclei in ordinary atoms into more strange matter - transforming the Earth into a hot, dead lump."
'Strangelets'. Lush.

On my way home last week my motorbike spluttered to a halt near the Bridge Over the River Kwai. Flicking over to the reserve tank only served to highlight the fact that I should remember to fill the reserve tank. Luckily, in Thailand you can buy vodka bottles full of petrol from the side of the road. Unfortunately, the bridge is a good kilometre away from the nearest of these makeshift petrol stations and I didn't feel like walking in the midday sun. A kind market stall owner took pity on me and offered to go and get a couple of bottles. He was a strange sort and was wearing mascara and pink lipstick, but he was willing to help. Let's call him Bob. I gave Bob a 100 baht note and he raced off on his scooter.When he returned with two bottles (30 baht each) I gave Bob the 40 baht change as a thank-you. Everybody's happy, we nodded and bowed to each other and he went back behind his market stall. I poured the bottles into the tank, but accidently dripped some petrol on my paintwork. I went over to Bob and asked for a tissue. He gave me a pack off his stall, but as I walked away he shouted that I had forgotten to pay! Bob charged me 3 baht for the tissues.
